
Obituary of Hazel Gaines
Hazel Louise Gaines was born April 21, 1930 to May Lucy and Moses Clark in Tallassee Alabama. She departed her earthly life on July 23, 2023 at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was educated in the Alabama School systems. She met and married Rogers H, Gaines Sr. in Nashville Tennessee, and with
this union 3 children were born, Hazel was a devoted housewife, mother, and grandmother. She loved going to church, music, cooking and going out to eat with her children, being with her
grandchildren and visiting her sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband Rogers H. Gaines Sr, sisters Lillie Webb and Annie Denmark, brothers Solomon and Henry Clark. She leaves to cherish her
memory daughters, Shirley Gaines, Yvonne (Wilbert) Martin; son, Rogers H. (Laurita) Gaines Jr; sister, Fannie (Edison) Buggs; sister in laws, Dorothy Owens and Peggy Walker;
brother in laws, Alvin (Wilhemina) Gaines and Robert (Marjett) Gaines; five grandchildren, La Quinta, DeAnndra, and Rogers H. Gaines III, Veronica and Antwain Martin along with 7 great-grand children.
Along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
