Obituary of Lillie Brenda Pope

Lillie Brenda Pope transitioned on June 23, 2023.  Please keep the Pope family in your thoughts and prayers.  

She was the sixth child born to Hammond  and Eva Mai Pope. At an early age she became a member of Corinthian Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Reverend Stockard.
She was educated at Moses McKissak Elementary, Washington Junior High, Pearl High School, Tennessee State University and Miller’s Medical College. Lillie was employed at Opryland Hotel in Guest Services.

She always enjoyed family gatherings. Lillie leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Emily Vernell (Ben) Sanderfur; brother, Leonard Maurice (Arnita) Pope. Mother of three boys Carlos Emmanuel Pope, Christopher Eugene Pope, and Thomas Dewayne Pope. Grandmother of Tomnisha Emoné Churchwell, DeCarlo Xavier Churchwell, Christopher E.Pope jr and Dtrevor M. Pope.
