Obituary of Rudolph Woodberry, Jr.
Rudolph Woodberry Jr., affectionately known as “Rudy”, was born in Nashville, TN on February 9, 1957 to the late Jean Howard and Rudolph Woodberry. He peacefully transitioned on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Centennial Medical Center.
He attended Overton High School in Nashville, TN where he was a scholar and top athlete including basketball, track and football where he and his team were the Clinic Bowl Champions in 1973.
Rudy truly lit up any room he walked into. His personality could be described as charming, kind, family oriented, pet lover, humorous, creative, friendly, and playful. He was always a kid at heart.
His hobbies included spending time with his family, especially his 3 girls and all of his grandkids, meeting up with all of his many good friends and his crew (The Homeboys), watching a good movie, and listening to music as loud as he could. He also loved telling stories of the good ol’ days to anyone who listen and always having a good laugh.
He was a multi-talented person and specialized in home renovations and improvements. He has built amazing patios and backyard decks, and gorgeous flooring and tile work.
Rudy had a strong faith in God and was a true believer. He loved the Lord and it showed through all the people he encountered. He was a great man to all who knew him.
