
Obituary of Myrtle Joy
Myrtle Joy was born on November 2, 1945, to the late John Ed and Jennie Lou Joy. On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Myrtle gently closed her eyes and went home to meet her Savior. She was the second of twelve children and spent her childhood in Whiteville, Tennessee.
Myrtle leaves to cherish her memory three sons and one daughter: Willis Demetris Allison (Dana), Chris Joy, Cody Joy, and Keisha Joy. Also, grandchildren, Jenisis Boyd (Demetris) and Trey (Keisha).
She is survived by her siblings, brothers James (Marsha) Joy; Percy (Carolyn) Joy, Eddie (Dorothy) Joy Dennis (Sandra) Joy, Roy (Willethia) Joy; sisters Lucille Joy, Mable Williams, Georgia (James) Keeling, Marlin (Cloyd) Allen, and Gracie (Duane) Brown.
Myrtle leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition, a host of foster children, cousins, and friends.
She is proceeded in death by both her parents and her brother, Willie Ray “William” Joy.
