Obituary of Carolyn Louise Whittaker

Mrs. Carolyn Louise Crutcher Whittaker was born April 30, 1947 in Nashville, TN to the late Frances Louise Crutcher and John Willie “Dubby” Turner. She departed this earthly life to go home with God on December 14, 2021. She was educated in Davidson County School System and graduated from Pearl High School, class of 1965. She furthered her education at Tennessee A & I State University, graduating in 1969. She taught elementary education in the Metro Nashville Public School system for over 30 years until retirement. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Bordeaux. United in Holy matrimony to Charles Harvey Whittaker, Jr on October 30, 1969. To this Union of 52 years were born 2 children; Gary Russell (Dawn) Whittaker, Sr and Carla Renee (Kelvin, Jr) Brown. She had a great love for life and family. Stepping out on faith as an entrepreneur, her goal to have a family owned and operated small business, she sold Watkins Products for over 20 years. She was a nurturing, kind, loving person, encouraging others that anything is possible with faith. She traveled to various parts of the world. She was known for gracious entertaining at their home and making wonderful cakes and pies. With pleasant and loving memories to cherish her forever, She leaves her husband and children 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, devoted sister, Lena Kay Truett, a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Louis Crutcher; grandchildren, Shantell Juness Whittaker and Quran Ameer Wilson.
