Willa Goodner Morton, a beloved wife, mother, educator, and pillar of her community, passed away on June 23, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and dedication to her family and friends.
Willa is survived by her son, Leonard H. Morton Jr. (Rev. Michele), daughter Shauneille Elaine Morton; grandchildren Dr. Tesia D. Wilson (Jarrett), Erin M. Morton; great-grandchildren Cayli M. Wilson and Aiden M. Wilson.
Willa's life was defined by her remarkable teaching career with Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, spanning over 30 years. She taught third and fourth grades at Ford Greene and Brick Church Elementary Schools, as well as provided reading support at H. G. Hill and Sylvan Park Elementary. Her tireless dedication to education earned her the respect and admiration of her students, colleagues, and community.
