Stanley Bernard Hill was born August 15, 1953 to Christine Daniel Hill and the late Willie Moses Hill in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. He received a heart transplant and now celebrates a second birthday on August 29, 2012 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He departed this life on May 12, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee. Stanley was a 1971 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. After graduation, he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and began working at Eily Lily for over twenty (20) years. Stanley is survived by his wife, Linda K. Cummings-Hill, two children, Cory D. Hill (Chenelle) and Lena K. Hill. He also has two step sons, David (Kim) McNeil and Berice Johnson III; brothers, Charles (Denise) Hill, William Cecil Johnson, four sisters, LaVerne (Charles) Dickerson, Teresa (Marvin) Grice, Erica Burrow, Gail Burrow and four bothers-in-law Wilbert Cummings, Jessie (Rosetta) Cummings, Henry (Sandra) Cummings, Larrie (Carmencita) Cummings, three sister-in-laws Dorothy Wright, Ella Boatman and Bobbie (Eugene) Campbell. Out of twelve aunts and uncles, there are two left - Emery Preston Daniel and Berniece Daniel Williams (Sam). He also leaves a host of cousins and friends. Visitation, Friday, May 16, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Funeral Service is Saturday, 3 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church at 555 Vance Ave. Interment in Memorial Park Southwoods. (901)526-3264
