Sharon Denise Barnes Batey was born on March 14th, 1962, in Nashville, TN to the union of the late Clarence & Mary (Bradley) Barnes St. She departed this life on April 5th, 2024.
Sharon accepted Christ at an early age and truly lobe the Lord. She always gives THANKS to God for her life every day. Especially her battles with her health. She was educated in Metro Public Schools system graduating from White Creek High School. She furthered her education attending Tennessee State University.
She loved and enjoyed her family, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for them especially around the holidays. Sharon hobbies where flowers and knitting. She made beautiful Crochet Afghans for family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother Clarence & Mary Barnes Sr. bother Clarence Anthony Barnes Jr. Grandparents Odell & Lena (Cockrill) Bradley Sr. and Deacon Hattie & Mary (Marby) Barnes
Those left to cherish her memory loving husband Toney Batey, children Clifford (Kenya) Lee Jones Jr. Hamilton Jones (Bethany Nicholson) and devoted daughter Sharlandria K Jones, Brother Micheal (Shirley) Barnes, sister Christina A Barnes, grandkids Kamiyah, Clifford Lee III, Kameron, Kali, Hamilton Jr. Bethany, and Jahmarion Polk, uncles Richard Garfield Bradley, Odell P Bradley Jr. Aunt Barbara J Ramsey and numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
