MANN III, PHD, Noah Horace Age 50 of Nashville, October 12, 2012. Died peacefully in his home after an illness. Dr. Mann was born February 16, 1962 in Nashville, TN to Barbara Edmonds Mann and Dr. N. Horace Mann, Jr. He attended public schools, as well as Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He also attended the University of Florida and University of Miami, where he received his Masters and PhD, respectively. He was an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Fisk University and formerly Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University. He married the former Lethia V. Swett on December 28, 1985. To this union was born Aleesa Ade Mann and Evan Clark Mann. In addition to being survived by his loving wife, parents and children, he is also survived by his sister, Kathy (Kerry) Cox and nephews, Kerry Jr. (Candiss), Kyle, Kevin and Keith Cox of California, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 19, 2012 at Friendship Baptist Church, 1109 32nd Ave. North, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Music City Links Heir-O-Links ritual at 4:20 p.m. Funeral services will be 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to Fisk University Department of Computer Science on behalf of Dr. N.
