Madice Eileen King Johnson, transitioned into eternal life on May 22, 2015, Nashville, Tennessee. Eileen was born, September 1, 1960, in Franklin, Louisiana, to Rev. John Lucas King, Jr and Madice N. King. 

In 1972, after the death of their father, Rev. John L. King, Jr., Eileen's mother, Mrs. Madice N. King relocated the family of six (6) children to Nashville, where they would be centrally located to family. The King family joined in membership with John Wesley UMC, Nashville, Tennessee. 

Eileen began her education in the Louisiana public school system. After moving to Nashville, Eileen attended Wright Jr High School and graduated from John Overton High School. Eileen played clarinet as a member of the John Overton Marching band. 

Eileen married her high school sweetheart, Kenny Bernard Lee Johnson, who preceded her in death, July 2011. Eileen and Kenny celebrated thirty-one (31) years of marriage. 

Eileen and Kenny joined in membership with Bethel World Outreach Church, December 1999. Eileen served with the Children's Ministry (K-3rd) and coordinated a Community Health and Safety Fair in collaboration with the Engage Team. The Health and Safety Fair was in memory of her late husband. 

Eileen completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with Belmont University, an Associate of Arts Degree in Office Administration and a Master of Education degree with Tennessee State University. Prior to her recent illness, Eileen began work on her Doctorate m Administration, with Lipscomb University. 

Eileen served as a teacher with Metro Nashville Public Schools for seventeen (17) years at Glencliff Elementary, Witsell Elementary, and Margaret Allen Middle School. Eileen's mantra for education was, "All students can succeed. Resilience is the key to adversity."
 Eileen's work with chil­dren was her vocation and her ministry. Eileen enjoyed pro­viding her students with creative and interactive opportunities for learning. 

Eileen was loved and respected by her family, friends, co­workers, students and church families and enjoyed sharing time with them. 

Eileen leaves to cherish her memory, three (3) sisters, Rev. Marie C. King; Claudette King Nwoke (Madubiri), Gwen King Harding (Richard); two (2) brothers, Reginald L. King (Valerie); and John C. King (Augustine), loving and devoted friends the Uti Family, Marcy Thomas and Abby Keel. 

Devoted aunts Janice Eileen King Sampson, Clarie King, Ernestine King, Betty Nickson, Virginia Mapp and aunt (in­law) Dorothy Shelton. Devoted mother-in-law, Mrs. Cleo Johnson, brother-in-law, Michael White and uncle (in-law) George Shelton. Devoted uncle, Rev. Marvin Raymond King (Aunt Lillie), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, co­workers with Metro Nashville Public Schools and church families of Bethel World Outreach and John Wesley UMC. 

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny; broth­er, Claude Raymond King; sister, Mable Maxine King; father, Rev. John L. King, Jr. and mother, Mrs. Madice N. King.
