Lizzie Mae Frank

LIZZIE MAE FRANK, born on March 18, 1938 to the late Robert Paul and Myrtle Dyer in Chattanooga, Tennessee Lizzie departed suddenly on Monday, July 30, 2024. Lizzie was the youngest of the three sisters, Ruth Evans and Johnnie Johnson. Lizzie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Weaver Frank, Sr., and their sons, Clarence Weaver Jr., and Ronald Cornelius Frank and her sister, Ruth Evans.Lizzie shared a particularly close bond with her sisters, often being mistaken for a twin to her middle sister, Johnnie. Lizzie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized as a testament to her deep faith and devotion. She was a faithful member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church where she continued to attend service online.Lizzie attended Howard High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and furthered her education at Tennessee State A & I, now known as Tennessee State University (TSU). While attending TSU she met her soulmate, Clarence who played baseball for TSU. Their love story blossomed as she attended his games, leading to a beautiful marriage and the birth of their three sons, Clarence, “JR”, Ron and Paul.Lizzie dedicated many years of her professional life to Meharry Medical Hospital before retiring. Known for her quiet demeanor, Lizzie was a loving, God-fearing woman who valued respect and had interest in fashion. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandson, Tobias and watching Steve Harvey and Family Feud. Lizzie love for her sons and grandson was boundless and she cherished every moment with them.Lizzie will be truly missed by all who knew her. Her family and friends will forever remember her beautiful smile, legacy of love, faith and quiet strength.

Lizzie leaves to celebrate her life, Paul(Yvette) Frank, Tobias Cain Frank, Daisia Chantel Frank, Johnnie Johnson, Bernadette Johnson, Johnny(Hurdysine) Parker, Allen (Elena) Parker, Lois Parker, Annie Parker and host of other nieces’ nephews and friends.
