February 17, 2014. Kathy Anne Turner Jeffries was born May 7, 1953 in Nashville, TN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Gloria Turner, and her brother James Turner, Jr.
She was educated in Metro Nashville Public Schools. She attended Tennessee State University and Nashville State Community College. She was a Broadcast Technician at WNPT-Nashville Public Television for over 35 years.
She is survived by her spouse, Kermit Jeffries; son, Errol Jeffries; daughter, Maria Mullins; step daughters, Yeae Hagler and Semone Jeffries; sisters, Karen (Homer) Sparks and Tracy Turner; grandchildren, Madison and Emily Jeffries, and Makayla Mullins; nephew, Matthew (Comfort) Sparks; nieces, Christina Sparks and Yashica Sullivan; great nephews, Gabe and Ahmir Sullivan; great niece, Jahzara Sparks.
Public viewing today from 2-6 p.m., at Lewis & Wright. Family visitation Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 11-12:30 p.m., with funeral to follow, at New Covenant Christian Church, 2201 Osage Street. Rev. Dr. Judy D. Cummings, Senior Pastor. Entombment Preston Taylor Mausoleum, Historic Greenwood Cemetery.
