John D. Utley

John D. L. Utley was born January 21, 1985, in Nashville, TN to Sharon E. Utley and David Holbert Sr., who also preceded their deaths. He transitioned from this life Saturday, January 11, 2025.

 John was a member of Family Affair Ministries Inc. He attended Nashville Public Schools. 

He enjoyed watching movies, dancing, music, working, and spending time with his family and friends. John was friendly, outgoing, never met a stranger and was loved by many.

He was preceded in death in by his mother Sharon E. Utley February 12, 2021.  He leaves to forever cherish his memories, siblings Jacqueline Utley (Mario Boyd Sr.), Ricky Utley Sr. (Angie Utley), Khristen Utley Sr. (Sharita Avery), Jac’Quenyk Utley (Alex Perez), LaTosha Williams, Nene Benson, David Holbert Jr., Malissa Holbert, and Lisa Holbert; nieces and nephews, Quantavious Utley, Khristen Utley Jr, Ricky Utley Jr., Mario Utley Jr., Riley Utley, Nyla Utley, Michael Dowlen, Montavious Bryant, Ja’Mario Mcfarland, Darius Boyd, Ja’Maricle Mcfarland, Danielle Holbert, Stacy Holbert, Ronnie Holbert Jr., Vinny Holbert and Marqueil Holbert; aunts and uncles, Martha Utley/Webb, Bobby Utley, Faye Utley, Teresa Ferguson, Pamela Collier, Jeanette Blair, Patricia Ferguson, Wanda Williams-Benson, Melvita Jones, Terry Ferguson, and Melvin Williams; cousins Ike Utley, Mike Utley, Chasity Utley, Charity Utley, Melinda Collier, Trenten Collier, Jocquis Collier, Shanita Blair, Dontae Blair, Joshua Turntine, Howard Turntine Jr., Houston Turntine, Matthew Turntine, Tomika (Missy) Jones, Mike Jones, Ladosca Ferguson, Antwan Ferguson, Terry Ferguson, Skeda Glenn, Tierra Glenn, Brandon Easley, Kasey Easley, Robert Battle, Shatika Tubb, and Monica Battle.
