Jessie Caldwell

Ms. Jessie Mae Caldwell was born in Davidson County, Tennessee, on December 7, 1939 to the late Clara Bowers and the late Charlie Caldwell.

She received her education in Davidson County Public Schools where she attended Meigs School.

She confessed her love for Christ at an early age and joined Braden United Methodist Church. She later joined Cleveland Street Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member while serving on the Usher Board, until her health failed.

Jessie Caldwell was employed for many years at Velman Young Daycare Center. She loved to take care of children; they were her passion and joy.

Jessie is survived by one brother, Earnest (Linda) McClendon, three daughters, Tangela Lawrence, Zena (Johnny) Caldwell, Zandre (Levi) Caldwell; two sons, Darrell (Lisa) Caldwell and William (Michelle) Caldwell; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a niece, Nichole (Gerald) Dawson; a nephew, Nicholas McClendon; an uncle, Jessie Bowers; a host of cousins and devoted friends.
