James E. Douglas

James Edward Douglas, was born March 10, 1944 and departed this life on February 6, 2021 in Nashville, TN.

James was raised in a loving family with his adoptive parents, Mrs. Lucy and Mr. "Hawk" Dotson. James attended Ford Green Elementary, Washington Junior High and a he graduated from Pearl High School in 1962. James was a very proud member of the Pearl High March Band.! James attended Tennessee State University but after one year he decided to enlist in the United States Air Force where he served until being honorably discharged.

James is survived by his sisters Diane Hughes of Detroit, MI, Denise Ward of Nashville, TN, brother Timothy (Jennifer) Cole of Nashville, TN, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his birth mother Mable Douglas Cole, adoptive parents Hawk and Lucy Dotson, brothers, Bobby Douglas and Lamont Cole.
