MANN, JR., D.D.S, M. Div. Noah Horace Of Nashville. September 7, 2013. Dr. Mann was born March 15, 1929 in Annie Manie, AL. He earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Divinity degrees from Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended the School of Social Work at Yale University in 1956. In 1962, he received his D.D.S. degree from Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry, and did additional graduate studies in oral surgery at Boston University. Horace spent over 30 years in private practice. He also served in many capacities during his 31 years at Meharry's School of Dentistry. He retired in 1994. Horace was ordained a Presbyterian minister in 1954. He served as Chaplain for the National Dental Association, and was a member and team leader of dental missions abroad. Horace married Barbara Edmonds, and to their union two children were born, Kathy Marie and Noah Horace III "Skipper". His son preceded him in death. In addition to his devoted wife and daughter, he is survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, brother and sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends. Public viewing Friday, September 13th from 2 - 6 p.m., with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Funeral Rites at 6:30 p.m. Family visitation Saturday, September 14th, 12:30 - 1:45 p.m., with Connecting Link Ritual at 1:45 p.m. Service to follow at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 949 TS Jackson Ave. Pastor Leonard Jordan officiating.
