In Loving Memory of (Gloria) Jean Pearson

Jean, a feisty soul who dedicated three decades of her life to serving others as a nurse technician, has gracefully transitioned into eternity. Her journey through life was characterized by her boldness, dedication, and a deep commitment to helping those in need.

Born into a bustling family of 17, Jean brought her fearless spirit into the world in Portland, Tennessee. However, it was in the charming town of Gallatin, Tennessee, that she spent her formative years, surrounded by the love and support of her family. As life unfolded, she made the brave move to Nashville, determined to craft her own destiny.

Her career in nursing began at Metro General Hospital, where she discovered her passion for assisting with childbirth and witnessing the beauty of new life. Later, she joined the dedicated team at Kelly Miller Smith, where she played a pivotal role in helping countless individuals rebuild their lives.

In her professional life, Jean was a beacon of care and compassion. Her favorite ward, labor and delivery, was a testament to her deep connection with the miracle of birth, where she celebrated the hope and promise of new life. This resonated deeply with her nurturing nature.

In the course of her journey, she found a partner in life, Thomas Pearson, Jr., with whom she shared more than 25 years of marriage. Though their paths diverged in time, their friendship remained steadfast, a testament to the enduring bond they forged.

In the midst of her life's adventures, Jean welcomed three children into her heart - Sharonda, Julius and Terassah. Today, she is survived by Terassah who, in turn, blessed her with a beautiful and brilliant granddaughter, Amina. The pride and joy she felt for Amina were immeasurable, as she watched this young life flourish and grow.

As we remember and honor Jean, let us celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of strength, independence, and unwavering dedication. In the hearts of those she touched, her memory will forever shine, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.

May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort to us all.
