Evelyn Bernice Thompson Frierson, born on June 19, 1938, to Andrew Thompson and Letha Ann Nation Thompson, was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister.
Evelyn received her education in the Metro Nashville Public Schools. She dedicated her professional life to Matthew Walker Health Center and later to Metro Nashville Public Schools until her retirement.
A devout Christian, Evelyn accepted Christ at an early age. Before her passing, she was an active member of The Temple Church.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Letha Ann Thompson, and her siblings: Connell, Yvonne, Wendell, Herbert, Paul, Paulette, Brenda, and Jeffrey.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Deltina Braden, Kimberly (Milton) Robinson, Valencia (Jeff) Scott (who served as her primary caregiver), and NaTasha Frierson; grandchildren: Daneshia Glimps, JaJuan Stanton, Stephanie (Uzo) Ufondu, Lauren Braden, M.D., Trey Harding, Jordan Frierson, and Jaylen Floyd; great-grandsons: Kameron Beasley, Aaron Ufondu, and Nicholas Ufondu; siblings: Deborah (Melvin) Alderson and Louise Thompson; sister-in-law: Shirley Thompson; devoted caregivers: Ronnita Simmons and Victoria Scruggs; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
