Age 89 of Nashville, TN, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Belle Jones; parents, Douglas & Eliza Jones; grandmother, Renia Smith.
Survived by a devoted and loving wife, Nancy Grizzard Jones; devoted and loving children, Larry (Panthea) Jones, Evelyn Sue Botts, Jackie Scott and David Simpson; loving grandchildren, Cartina Buchanan, Valencia Jones, Ronald Botts, Jr., Charissee Christian and Christinia Robb; great-grandchildren, Cartiana, Annah, Niyah, Alana and Ronald.
Lie in state on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 4-8 p.m., with family present from 5-7 p.m., at Kayne Ave. Baptist Church, 1025 12th Ave. South, Nashville, TN.
Visitation with the family Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 11 a.m. - 12 Noon, with funeral to follow at First Baptist Church South Inglewood, 1515 Ann St., Nashville, TN. Napoleon Harris, Pastor. Interment at Historic Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kayne Ave. Baptist Church, Rockland Baptist Church, or Alive Hospice.
