Charles E. Warner

January 5, 1942 — January 25, 2022

Charles was born to the late Richard Warner and Mary D. Warner. He was the fourth child born of six siblings. He was affectionately known to his family as “Charles Edward”. Charles was educated in the public school system of Davidson County. Charles graduated from Pearl High School as well as received a post-secondary degree at Phoenix University. After graduating from high school, he served in the US Marines; thereafter, he started a career in the insurance industry.
Charles loved being surrounded by his family, dancing, watching movies, playing cards, cooking and giving advice (whether you asked for it or not) just to name a few. Charles was a devoted husband and father and was always dedicated to his family and friends. If he had it, you had it! In fact, he would say “If I had it, I would give it and I’d like to see you with it, but I don’t have it and ain’t no doubt about it, you’re going to have to do without it”! Anyone who knew him knew they were always welcome to his home, but especially on Sundays for the Sunday dinners.

Charles is predeceased by his parents, Richard Warner and Mary D. Warner, brothers, Richard Warner and Johnny Warner and sister Lillian Smart.
He leaves to cherish devoted wife of 57 years, Anita (Chambers) Warner, daughters, Karla Frieson and her husband, Darren Frieson, of Antioch TN, Tracy Warner-Wilson and her husband, James Wilson, of Antioch, TN and son, Kyle Warner, of Antioch, TN; 4 granddaughters, Kaylen (Nick) Trice, Darian Frieson, Kamryn Frieson and Jamisen Wilson, and 1 great-grandson, Toren Trice; 2 brothers, Clifford Warner and wife, Gerri Warner, Bobby Warner and sister Grace Giddens; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 30th at Lewis and Wright Funeral Home.
