Carra E. Barnes

March 22, 1934 — December 16, 2024

Carra Elizabeth Sanders Barnes was born March 22, 1932 to the late Albert and Allie Sanders, Nashville, Tennessee. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 16, 2024 in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Sister Carra Barnes was a lifelong member of the Watson Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She served in the Senior and Mass Choirs for decades. She along with her husband, the late Deacon Robert St. Clair Barnes were a part of that band of Christian believers that served as founding members of Watson from Una, Tennessee which later moved to Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated from Hayes High School, Nashville Tennessee. Even though she worked for a while outside of the home, after the birth of their daughter, Tamara, affectionately known as Tammy, she became a dedicated full time homemaker for her family. Carra was an excellent cook and baker. She was known around Nashville for her wonderful cakes, pies and other dishes. This was her passion, making people happy with her cooked and baked treats. Carra leaves to cherish precious memories: loving and devoted daughters, Tamara (Shawn) Patterson, Vickie Renee Greer; grandson, Shawn Patterson II, a host of nieces and nephews, The Watson Grove Family and other relatives and friends.

Please keep the Barnes family in your thoughts and prayers.
